Gonna sound like a dumb question but.... Not sure what a "side mount" radiator is?? Will this fit my 56 CJ-5??

I have a '48 sedan delivery wagon, side mount radiator. Inside of neck is 1" deep, and approximately 1 5/8" diameter. Is this part number 648360 the correct cap?

No, it will not seal the inner opening surface if the inside of the neck is 1". . The cap will only seal if the distance is 3/4. Also, a 4 lb cap is recommended.

Is this the right cap for a 51 CJ3A with a large radiator neck. I've crossed these numbers with may local parts store but all of them are to small.

I am having trouble finding a cap To fit my 1953 M38a1 Jeep. The caps I find at auto stores have been too small. Not sure if this is the original radiator. My cap measures 2 1/2 in between the tangs and 2 7/8 diameter. Your help would be appreciated.
