Is there mounts that go between this and the frame? Besides the trans mount and insulator. Previous owner had stacked 2inch of metal plates between the crossmember and the frame. It does have a muncie 420 Trans and dana 18 Transfer case.

No, this bolts directly to the frame.

How about 1948 CJ2A? Will it work there as well? The factory attached to the cab mount bracket on the outside of the frame.

Yes, you can definitely use it for the 2A. You will just need to mount it to the frame rails.

Will this crossmember (7372507) work on a 1967 with the dauntless v6 and a t86 transmission?

This is more set up for the earlier but i think it would as long as you halve the style transfer case mount that is round and not square.

Will this work with a T-14 transmission and Dana 18?

it is indicated that the cross-member fits a CJ-6, but only up to 71. Was something different in 1972? That is my year, and this looks "almost" identical. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

We have not fit this up past 1971 but they probably would work thru 1975.

Does the replacement transmission crossmember need welded on?

You could weld them on. I do believe originally they were bolted / riveted.

I have a cj2a and I do understand this will work on my D18 transfer case. Question is with the overdrive in gauged does the 4 wheel drive still work?

In 4WD you wouldnt use the overdrive because you have to be in low range with in 4x4 mode.

Do you have the early CJ2A cross member? I have an early CJ2A with an MB frame so the the crossmember mounts are just like the MB ones so the crossmember should bolt to the sides of the mounts and to the bottom of the frame.

Why is this crossmember so different compared to the original in a 46 CJ2A, do I need to remove the brackets on both sides of the frame to install?

Early CJ-2A's used a little different attachment to the frame. This one will work just fine it just needs to be drilled.

im looking for a diagram for a dana transfer case single shift

Please check out our shop by diagram section. We have a D18 transfercase diagram there. Its dual stick but they are basically the same.

Will this fit a 45 gpw and does it sit lower. I have a t90 in my gpw and the floor has been cut to make it fit. I am trying to avoid cutting when I replace the floor. If not what are my options.

If you have a T90 then you should be ok. You will have to drill it out though....

That is an unoriginal transmission. I would go with this one and you may have to modify.
