Is this temp sending unit thermostat specific…? ie: will it work with both 160 & 180 degree thermostats..? Or do I need to match the sending unit to the particular thermostat I’m using? Thank you.

One really doesnt have anything to do with the other. There thermostat just keeps the radiator closed until the engine gets up to a operating temp. The temperature switch just reads the temperature. But they are not connected in any way. Thanks!
