Will this work on a 1951 M38? It has a L-134 engine. 12 volt, not the original. I know the manual oil pressure gauge will work. I will not be using the 24 volt gauge that the M38 had originally.

Willys Tech:
Yes im sure it would work just fine. You may just have to get adapter fittings at your local NAPA.

I have a 42 gpw with a buick 225 v6 - will this part work for me?

Willys Tech:
It will screw into the back of your gauge like original.

Will the A-1198-ST work with a Buick 6 cylinder engine? If not, what would? Thank you, thomas

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, this is only for the flat head 4-cylinder engine. You'll have to make one up for the V6 engine. Thanks

Is there a hose that attaches to the steel oil pressure line and the block? I bought the gauge and the steel line but the line is too short.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, there is. Order part number - A1198. Thanks

Is there a grommet that goes in the firewall that the steel line goes thru?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, they used a grommet thru there. See part number: B1843

Will this fit a 53 M38A1? Thanks.

Willys Tech:
This is only for the vehicle listed above.

Where on the engine does this line attach? thanks.

Willys Tech:
There is a lower galley plug on the bottom drivers side rear corner of the block.

do you have the rubber hose that goes between the engine and this steel line?

Willys Tech:
A1198 is the part number for the flex line.

I have a 1953 M38A1- will this fit or do you have a steel line that will. I have an after market plastic hose replacement gage in the dash now and am going to replace it with a proper gage which calls for the steel line to the sending unit.

Willys Tech:
For the M38A1 you will have to make it. Your local Napa does sell preflared steel lines in different lengths you can bend up.
