Have 1964 Cj3b that needs a Heater control valve that is operated by cable through firewall. Need help thanks .

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Unfortunately, that would be good used only through a salvage yard.

I have a 1967 cj5 with the F-134 engine. Where on the engine cylinder head does this screw into? Is it at the inlet side going to the heater box in the engine and is there already a spot to thread it into?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You should have a threaded port ontop the head at the rear corner.

I have a 1947 CJ-2A with no heater. Noticed that there is a manual heater control valve on the cylinder head. A hose goes from the control valve to lower radiator hose that connects the radiator and water pump. Can I remove and plug the control valve with a bolt and only have the lower radiator hose to the water pump connected?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you can close off the bypass if you dont have a heater.

Jeep just started engine die when let off accelerator. Idle it up at carburetor it stays running but idling too high. !957 CJ7 4 cylinder.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You need to check your timing and probably have low vacuum. At idle (approx 475 rpm) once warm you should have 20 inches of vacuum draw with no choke.

is the heater control valve outlet 5/8"?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, 5/8" diameter.

What type of thread sealant would you recommend to install this? Teflon tape?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Teflon should work just fine.

What is the difference between this and the heavy duty valve?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The heavy duty is a bit thicker walls and valve. But both work great.

For a M38A1 w/o a heater, do you sell the "plug, pipe, sq-hd, 1/2-in - 103868"? The one that is shown in the diagram.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Your local Napa should have this.

Does this piece attach at the water pump? I guess i have an aftermarket water pump on a CJ-3A L-314 with 2 valves, one going to the non existent heater unit which needs to be plugged.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This typically goes on the head itself.

I see you have the manual shut off valve for the heater. Do you have the shut off valve that mounts on the firewall and is controlled by an inside cable. This is on a 1957 sw,L6-226 ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This part is the manual shut off used on the head. Any others would be used only. This could be used in a number of places however with the right fittings.
