Questions & Answers
My '48 CJ2A has brake shoes that are connected at the bottom with a small spring. They do not have the large circular holes and there are no adjusting screws at the bottom. Only the two adjusters at about the middle of the shoe. This is true for all 4 wheels. Do you have these type of shoes? This appears to be original equipment.

Do you need a special tool if you only want to change the lining? or is it better to just replace the shoes?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you're replacing just the lining than all you have to do is press rivets into the shoes. Ultimately, replacing the shoes do cost a little more but will save you time. Thanks
