How would I know if my cj2a needs the 19 or 10 spline shaft?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would be a 10 spline if a CJ-2A. Just take the access cover off and you can see the splines on the main shaft gear.

Where is the vent on a 1950 Dana 44 rear axle housing?

On many of the early rear Dana 44 rear axles it is just a very small weep hole halfway down the passenger side axle tube

Willys Tech:
Typically it is on the rear differential housing cover. Alot of times the rear ends dont have them though.
