Questions: I'm running a 1948 CJ-2A L-134 Is the 1/4" thick steel spacer required to be used between this fuel pump and the engine block? I do believe that I see two gaskets in the one picture so that leads me to believe that a spacer may be needed here.

866236 is recommend for your fuel pump.

Just double check your pressure. You should be between 1.5 and 4.5 pounds.

Yes, it will but the M38 used a dual action pump so you will have to replum your lines. You may have to rotate the diaphragm for clearance as well.

This is for fuel only. The dual actions have vacuum ports as well. Single action do not.

This doesn't have anything to do with the oil return line. This is a fuel pump.

Questions: my question is MY L134 IS VERY COLD NATURED AND IT DOES NOT WANT TO RUN without the choke pulled out even has warmed up and I still get a hesation I have aelectric fuel pump and a solidex carb . what I would like to know is if Iput a regular fuel pump on it and a new carb wil this make it perform better

Yes, I would say so. Also at start make sure to pump the pedal to get fuel flow going but not enough to flood.

Typically there is only a small amount at the bottom typically.

Up, the main thing is that you put the lever against the camshaft correctly. It will only go one way.

Yes this will work, but you may have to rotate the diapram. The spacer is recommended.

You just pump it to prime it by hand. The handle is attached to the pump itself.

I would recommend non-ethanol 87 is just fine.
