Which ring gear should I use for a PS311, nine tooth starter?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please give us a call and we can help you.

Will this be a replacement for my PS311 starter?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
PS311 is a MCH6203/6207/6215 starter. You would want 925520-12v.

will the mz-4137 or the mz 4162 starter work with a 129 tooth flywheel on a 4-134 f engine, im trying to piece my 52 pickup back to health she was missing alot of parts

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The MZ 4137 typically used a 124 tooth ring gear and the MZ 4162 typically used the 129 tooth ring gear.

For som odd reason I have a MZ 4162 starter on my '52 Willys CJ3A. Will the 801167A-12V be the correct replacement starter, or should I use the the hi-torque starter listed for a '52 CJ 3A. What is the difference between the two?

Willys Tech:
This one or the one for the CJ-3A will work just fine. They are interchange. The MZ-4137 & MZ-4162 interchange with each other.

My 52 SW has been converted to 12v but has the old 6v starter. I want to convert it to your HT-Starter. I understand that it will not be a mounting issue but since it has a solinoid I assume I no longer can use the floor starter peg. Do I need to change the ignition switch and if so which do you suggest. Is there anywhere that I can get direction on how to complete this conversion ?

Willys Tech:
Yes this is a starter for a key switch. I would also get part number: 924918 for the ignition switch. This will get you going.

I have an Autolite MZ-4163 from an F-134 (unknown year). What is the difference between the 4162 and the 4163, will this work as a replacement?

Willys Tech:
They are different starters. Yes this will work as a replacement for it.

I also have a 1954 cj-3b with a starter number of MCH 6101. It is eched in the side of the case. This is a key switch design, Will this starter work in my jeep or do you have a better suggestion.

Willys Tech:
They never used a 6101. Please call me toll free. I can help out on this.
