Do these go wide-part-down or do they go narrow-part-down? I have a hood on my CJ2A but the top of the engine still gets wet. The rearmost spark plug was **very** hard to remove.

How exactly do you install these. I have a 58 wagon and they just go over the tip of the spark plug. Should I force them down so that they seat all the way to the bottom of the spark plug well? Do I need to cut them ?

You need to push them down till the seat. Use some soap as well.
