My 1946 cj2a oil canister is mounted on the drivers side fender. Is that original?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, they went on the passenger side front corner of the cylinder head. But keep in mind alot of 2A's never even had a oil canister. It was added on after the fact by the dealer.

Which braket fits a L161 engine?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This fits the 134 L head only.

Are these supposed to be mounted between the head and the nuts holding the head or should they have longer studs to mount over the head nuts with another nut?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
A1548 is a longer stud.

Will this bracket work on a L6-161 engine

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:

I can get that style good used for you. Also this new mounting bracket can be made to work with it as well.
