Questions & Answers

Hi Mike, I've got a 48 CJ2A. It was converted to 12V, but I see it still has the original 6v solenoid & starter motor. Lately, haven't been able to start it via the key. It won't turn, just clicks. This will happen about 50% of the time. It will always start if we jump the solenoid with a remote starter switch. I am thinking I should replace the solenoid, and was wondering which to put on there? Another person had suggested going with the Standard SS210 starter solenoid. But I wanted to check with you, thanks!

I would double check all your electrical connections then yes I would probably replace the solenoid. Its the most likely culprit here.
