Fits: Fits 41-53 MB, GPW, CJ-2A, 3A, M38

New Replacement Starter Bell Housing Bushing for the Armature Support

Used for Autolite MZ-4113 & MZ-4137

Bushing is pressed in the bell housing and teh starter armature end fits into it.  Used with the early starter with the protruding armature shaft.

You just need to press the old ones out and press the new ones in. Thats pretty much it on that.

Questions: Is there an opening in the back of the bell housing to drive it through. I don't see one. Also when you install the new one do you install from the back of the housing?

Yes there is a freeze plug there that can be driven out. You can install it either way.

Typically out the back so it doesnt fall down into the bellhousing.

Take a socket or similar bushing and drive it out.
