What bolts/nuts would you recommend for this for a ww2 GPW? Were they bolts or flat head screws with nuts of some kind to hold this to the rear end?

I believe flat head screws but will need to look at my GPW.

Does this mount on the tail gate? Do you have a better picture to show where? The diagram that labels it as #8 doesn't really show where it mounts.
