where do you locate it, inside of the Canister, the mine does not have one of this. I have a F134 Willys 1957 CJ5, do I need to put one?

This is the cover for your original canister that should be bolted to your block. Some later CJ-5 had a spin off canister but in your year they typically used part number: 808042
