X: Power (for the 6 volts, ignition)
P: Pilot light in the turn signal switch (indciator light - optional)
L: outlet to turn signal switch (blue wire on the turn signal switch)

Good afternoon! When the turn signal switch is connected, the red indicator lamp in the turn signal switch lights up constantly. It is right? When turning on, it flashes.

Can a bad flasher result in power loss to turn signal unit and blinkers not working?

Yes, if your flasher is bad, they would not function.

Do you have a signal flasher for a 59 cj5?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
938899 if your 12 volt.

Do I need to fit a dash lamp on the earth terminal wire for this to function correctly?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It would need a ground. See turn signal kit: 947350 for install instructions.
